December 7 @ 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Romeo Historical is proud to announce this year’s 2019 Christmas Home Tour which is taking place on Saturday, December 7th from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. This year’s homes represent five distinct architectures. American Four Square, Italianate, Late Greek Revival, Queen Ann and Colonial Revival. The homes ranging from circa 1856 to 1917 are located within the Historic Village of Romeo.
This year we will be featuring the Bancroft-Stranahan Home Museum on Church Street decked out in its Christmas finery and presenting “A Musical Noel”. Past and current Christmas ornaments will be available to purchase at the museum. The Clyde Craig Blacksmith Museum will be open and our very own blacksmith will be welcoming guests and sharing his knowledge of this lost art as well as giving demonstrations.
Be sure your children keep an eye out for Mrs. Claus, who will be at the blacksmith shop right next to an antique 1890 sleigh! Wonder if it’s the one Santa uses? You may even see Mrs. Claus strolling through out the village. Be sure to give her your letter to deliver to Santa. Other activities and specials will be offered throughout the village that day.
