This circa 1855 Romeo home is believed to have been built by John Borland and his wife. It is a 1 & 1/2 story home built with mortise and tenon construction and contains its original wide plank pine flooring.
It features signature Greek Revival architectural elements: six over six window panes, under the eaves bargeboards and trim, and return gables.
The home has had many additions over the past 175 years, including a Colonial Revival porch that was added in the early 1900’s. The rest of the façade has remained mostly unchanged.
The current owners of this house have lovingly cared for the home and honored its history for over 50 years.
